Karen's Place: Trusted Chatham Eatery Serving Juicy Burgers, Wings & Buffets

We stopped in on our way back to NJ. We didn’t get the buffet because breakfast was ending and lunch buffet wasn’t out yet. I ordered a burger with onion rings that were delicious. My husband had a breakfast platter. We did wait a few mins to get noticed. A nod or quick “I’ll be with you in a minute” would have made a difference. Otherwise I would give it 5. The other two people in the place were locals and were done with their meal. I’d stop there again for a burger. Salad bar look tasty!

Of course if you arrive at 2 pm for lunch at a restaurant in a small town the buffet might not be available. But if that happens, just order off the menu. I had a double cheeseburger and could not have been happier. It was juicy and had the perfect proportion of cheese to burger to bread. My husband had the cheeseburger and wings combo—what a great idea—and after the first bite of the first wing said that these wings reminded him of why he first loved wings. They were big but not too big, juicy and crispy, and tossed in the right amount of delicious sauce. If we lived in Chatham we’d eat here all the time. Do not miss this place.

I came across this hidden gem by accident, and I’m so glad I did! The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. I was in time crunch, so I ordered off the menu. I got the chicken sandwich and fries. My daughters (ages 5&14) ordered the hotdog with fries and the cheeseburger with fries. Everything was cooked to perfection. I will be returning soon to try the lunch/dinner buffet and the breakfast buffet.

Based on reviews, I was skeptical. I walked in and I went to check out the buffet. Was not impressed. So we ordered off of the menu, not expecting a whole lot. I got the buffalo wing platter, and my husband had a double cheese burger platter. We were both very pleasantly surprised. The wings were as good as I have had pretty much anywhere. (Wished they came with carrots or celery). My husband said his burger was juicy, hand made fresh, and was just as good as Five Guys. Server and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will be returning. Maybe next time we'll check out the breakfast bar.

Came for the buffet, but they were closed because of a slow day. The burgers we got as a consolation prize were excellent! I got the double bacon burger and my girlfriend got the spicy chicken sandwich. Highly enjoyed the fries too.
